THE FOREDECK AND SUN DECK

The sundeck is conceived as AWATEA’s principal social and recreational deck, rather than simply a place for sunbathing. The bar, tucked beneath the flybridge where it is sheltered from sun and wind, is the social hub. The whirlpool and sun pads create a sunbathing area aft. Forward, two separate dining tables with wraparound seating make for a relaxed, convivial setting for dining or watching the view underway. The foredeck is another deliberately informal guest space, with seating round a table and a large sun pad overlooking the bow.

BRIDGE DECK

The aft bridge deck is conceived as an extension of the interior, giving the yacht a more informal, residential feel outdoors. The layout is deliberately sociable, designed around al fresco dining and conversation rather than formal entertaining.

MAIN DECK

The main deck aft is deliberately uncluttered: when in port it provides an elegant and welcoming reception area rather than a center of social activity since its exposure naturally limits its privacy. At anchor, the double staircase to the swim platform links the deck directly to the beach club and swim platform creating an easy flow between the two levels.

BEACH CLUB / GARAGE

The beach club makes unusually efficient use of space: once the fold-down transom has been opened and the 7.5-metre /24’6” tender launched, the garage becomes a sheltered lounging area at water level, with a further 22sqm/ 237sqft of usable space outside. Finished in teak to the same standard as the guest areas, the beach club or garage can also be used as a gym.
